He will generally mature to 15–25 pounds and 13–16 inches at the shoulder, with a typical lifespan of 12–14 years. Routine examinations, deworming and vaccinations due through 11 weeks have been completed; confirm the records and the puppy vaccine schedule normally begun at 6–8 weeks. His early puppy eye exam, ideally at 5–8 weeks, is separate from parental hip, eye and recommended DNA screening. Plan for remaining puppy vaccines through at least 16 weeks, locally required rabies vaccination, parasite prevention, combing and toothbrushing practice.
