Health History

Her small frame will typically mature to around 5–10 pounds and 8–11 inches at the shoulder, with a usual lifespan of 14–16 years. Vaccinations began around 6–8 weeks, and her examinations, deworming, and vaccine doses due through eighteen weeks have been completed. Continued care includes year-round parasite prevention and a veterinary review of any remaining vaccinations and future boosters, including rabies and leptospirosis. Her family should also request her parents’ kneecap, heart, and specialist eye screening results and discuss PRA1 and NAD genetic testing with the breeder.

Their Story

Her breeder’s phone fills with updates from her littermates’ families: one puppy asleep across a pair of slippers, another visiting the park, another meeting a grandmother for the first time. She is in plenty of pictures, too, but hers are still the ones sent to people asking whether she is available. At eighteen weeks, she has outgrown the little collar she wore in her first photo. Her breeder has put it aside for her future family. Whoever they are, they have already missed how small she used to be—and all the little discoveries she has made while waiting. With a small deposit you secure her future, get your next steps to meet and save her today.

Pup Personality

At 18 weeks old she likes to figure things out, carefully investigating how to reach a toy that has slipped behind a cushion. New experiences get a thoughtful pause before curiosity takes over, and gentle encouragement helps her try again when something seems difficult. There’s a playful satisfaction in watching her succeed—especially when she trots back with her prize, looking straight at you as though you helped solve it together.

PupPath Mission

I was also once looking for a dog

I wasn't just looking for an Otterhound puppy. I wanted to save one. I dreamed of giving him a warm home, a loving family, and the second chance he deserved. But I had no idea where to start. I spent countless hours searching hundreds of listings, calling shelters, and contacting breeders. Nothing. Not a single Otterhound pup.

Frustrated, I gave up searching for a while. Weeks later, I came across a post about an Otterhound puppy desperately needing a home. This was him. The puppy I'd been searching for. I rushed to the shelter, only to hear words I'll never forget. "I'm sorry. He's already been euthanized." My heart sank.

He could have had a home, a family, and a lifetime of love. If only I'd found him sooner. That's when I realized countless other dogs were facing the same heartbreaking possibility. I couldn't save him. But maybe I could help save others. That's why I created PupPath.

Papillon Puppy Stories

Female Unnamed Pup — Papillon

Once a man collapsed on a secluded trail, his Papillon pup ran toward the distant voices of other walkers. It barked, circled, and repeatedly looked back until they followed it to its owner, who was lying hidden beside the path, unable to call for help. Rescuers reached him in time, and when he finally woke up in the hospital, his first question was whether his dog was safe. At their reunion, the Papillon pup rested its head in his hands, and through tears the man whispered, “You went looking for help when I couldn’t even ask.” The Papillon pup is ready to protect you but it needs your protection first.

Within days of coming home, a Papillon puppy had become his owner’s constant companion and the children’s inseparable playmate. Whenever an argument grew loud, he would appear with his favorite toy, nudging a hand until someone paused to look at him. Those gentle interruptions became the family’s reminder to soften their voices, sit together, and listen instead of speaking over each other. One evening, watching his children cuddle beside their new Papillon friend, their father whispered, “You’ve only just arrived, and you’re already helping us take better care of each other.” The Papillon Puppy is ready to take care of you, but it needs you to take care of it first.

Female Unnamed Pup — Papillon

After an accident left his owner struggling to walk, a Papillon puppy began matching every slow step, pausing whenever the man needed to rest. Throughout the long recovery, it waited beside his owner’s chair and followed him from room to room, settling wherever they could remain close. When the children called the pup outside, it enjoyed their games, then hurried back to check on the person resting indoors. On the day they finally reached their old walking spot again, his owner sat down and held the Papillon pup, overwhelmed by the friend who had made every difficult step feel less lonely. A Papillon pup is waiting for you.
